Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final term of junior high. Her siblings include an older brother whose name is Gregory and a younger one known as Evan. When she was nine until 16, she began working in the industry of entertainment by modeling. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who received training by this method along with Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her debut role was Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to make the move from Beverly Hills to Los Angeles. After a couple of months, she was offered the part in the role of Johnny Mnemonic. For this movie, she was responsible for nearly all stunts and proved herself to be an experienced actress. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to land a regular role on Friends.
