She lives in New York City. Chando was an undergraduate of Manhattan College when she became an actress. Chando played the character Maddie Coleman in the TV soap show As The World Turns from 2005-2007 and, for a short period from late 2009 onwards, she reprised the role. Alexandra's acting debut was in her debut on the TV show House Blend in which she appeared as Jenna Harper. The following year, she was cast in the American soap opera for television which was telecast on CBS, As the World Turns in the role of Maddie Coleman. Later in the year 2009 Chando got a role in the American documentary television series True life and further appeared in the television series Sherri. Also, she acted as Annabelle in two episodes of Glory Daze, an American comedy and drama television show. Additionally, her other TV show credits are Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
